GET OUT THERE AND JUST DO IT!!!
This 95 year old woman, Christine Fryer is PRICELESS! What an example she sets for all of us. At 95, she shows us what regular exercise can do for one's life. She is incredibly spry and full of vim and vigor—both physically and mentally. Regular exercise, cutting out junk meat products like hamburger (even while keeping in some desserts), not worrying or stressing out, and simply staying happy with a positive outlook has kept her not only young, but disease free for decades! She says she simply doesn't do "ill". The power of not only keeping the body healthy, but the mind as well. Exercise helps us keep a positive outlook on life, alters our brain chemistry for the better and simply makes us feel GREAT! And don't think you can't build up to some real intensity as well, because you can. Don't let fear keep you from getting into strength and resistance training. Just start from where you are and keep going. Learn proper form from a good teacher and then keep at it. You'll be more likely to injure yourself from not exercising than if you make it a regular part of your life—especially strength/resistance training. It will keep not only your bones dense and strong, but your muscles and your mind as well. Here are some examples: The anti-aging effects of Hatha Yoga and Meditation have been touted for thousands of years and are still just as true today as they ever were. Again, regular consistent practice is what is key, preferably daily. These ladies are still very fit and active at 85 because they have kept fit and active their whole lives. Teenagers would be envious of their flexibility! Keeping physically and mentally active is key, as is finding positive ways to spend one's time. There are so many exercise modalities to choose from. You can even make up your own! Regular consistent exercise can even stave off the effects of bad habits, as evidenced by this 102 year old marathon runner SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!

How inspiring! I have a 55 yr old friend on my FB list that loves to work out and looks amazing for her age.
